    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers releases Hurricane Sandy Coastal Projects Performance Evaluation Study

    The Hurricane Sandy Coastal Projects Performance Evaluation Study evaluated how several dozen coastal storm risk management projects performed during Hurricane Sandy, how the storm impacted the projects themselves, and recommended ways for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its partners to improve planning, designing, constructing and maintaining coastal storm risk management projects in the future. It is recognized that comprehensive risk reduction is a shared responsibility among the local, state and federal partners.

    Jennings Randolph Lakes accepting Christmas trees for recycling

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Jennings Randolph Lake will be accepting natural Christmas trees to use as fish structures in the lake beginning Dec. 30. Instead of throwing away your trees, you now have the opportunity to donate it to a cause that will benefit shoreline fishing and overall fish habitat at Jennings Randolph Lake.

The work is part of a larger near-term coastal restoration effort taking place at previously constructed coastal storm risk reduction projects impacted by Hurricane Sandy throughout the region.
