    Army Corps continues progress on Hurricane Sandy recovery

    Together with its federal, state, local and industry partners, the Army Corps' North Atlantic Division, which extends from Virginia to Maine, has completed 66 coastal storm damage risk reduction projects, including repairs on 46 Sandy-damaged navigation channels and structures and restoration of 20 engineered beach projects along the coast.

    Biden, congressional members tour Delaware River Deepening Project

    PHILADELPHIA (Oct. 16, 2014) – Vice President Joe Biden visited Penn's Landing to tour ongoing Delaware River Main Channel Deepening operations and discuss the importance of dredging and maritime commerce to the economy. Biden was joined by Sen. Bob Casey and Reps. Bob Brady and Chaka Fattah from Pennsylvania, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Philadelphia District Commander Lt. Col. Michael Bliss, state and local officials and port and industry representatives.

    Corps approves Deepwater Wind’s permit request to construct five wind turbines off Block Island coast

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District on Sept. 4, 2014 approved the Deepwater Wind Block Island, LLC, and Deepwater Wind Block Island Transmission System, LLC, permit request to construct five wind turbine generators and do other work off the southeast coast of Block Island, Rhode Island.
