The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' North Atlantic Division is headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, with six subordinate district offices located in Concord, MA; New York City; Philadelphia; Baltimore; Norfolk, VA; and Wiesbaden, Germany. The North Atlantic Division offers a wide range of services to its diverse base of Department of Defense stakeholders and executes a robust military construction mission workload valued at $2–3 billion annually. This is approximately 25 percent of the military workload executed by the entire USACE enterprise and supports mission requirements at 50 Army and 13 Air Force Installations both in the U.S. and overseas.
North Atlantic Division headquarters provides programmatic design and construction execution oversight on projects from inception to completion, coordinates technical/budgetary policies that cross district boundaries, and provides regional interface with other Federal and state agencies. The North Atlantic Division and its districts have vast experience and technical competence in the following areas: partnering, master planning, in-house/contracted engineering and design services, construction field supervision/quality assurance/safety, installation readiness, project management, and contract acquisition. Typical projects include new construction or renovation of military housing, barracks, operations centers, administrative building, schools, hospitals/clinics, and childcare facilities.
