Norfolk District, Port of Virginia ramp up harbor deepening efforts
NORFOLK, Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Virginia Port Authority are proceeding with design measures to expand Norfolk Harbor’s shipping channels, which will improve navigation and energize the national, state and local economy.

Baltimore District crews dredging roughly 2 million cubic yards of material from six harbor channels
Crews will begin removing approximately 2 million cubic yards of material today from shipping channels leading to the Port of Baltimore as part of a contract managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District.
