    All-women security team manages sensitive information, property for key partners in National Capital Region

    Denise Hurt works from her office outside of Fort Meade, Maryland, the home base for her all-women security team. The team, part of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Real Property Services Field Office (RSFO), handles high-level, unique security assignments for high-profile Department of Defense (DOD) agencies. In fact, their work is so specialized that RSFO is one of the only full-service project management shops in the federal government able to provide fully cleared personnel at the Top-Secret level and above.

    USACE Real Estate services play key role in U.S. missions in Europe

    Europe District’s Real Estate Division provides support directly to projects like the Via dei Martinelli widening effort in Italy, but their mission goes well beyond individual U.S. Army Corps of Engineers construction projects. Their team actually provides key real estate support to all U.S. Army forces stationed and operating in the European theater.

    For Mandy Waters, being an administrative officer with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has turned out to be a dream come true… So much so, she longed to return to her team in the Real Estate Division while she was deployed as part of the Texas Air National Guard (TXANG) to Qatar. Yes, not only does she manage the administrative responsibilities for one of the largest divisions in the district with over 150 personnel, the admin officer/Tech Sgt. recently returned from a six-month deployment to Al Udeid Air Base where she was part of the command support staff for the 379th Expeditionary Mission Support Group in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Freedom’s Sentinel.

    Real estate division provides important mission support across District

    With an area of responsibility covering six states, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado and Montana, the Omaha District is one of the largest within Army Corps of Engineers – with that large footprint comes a lot of real estate to manage on land, water and air (think airports). In addition, District civil boundaries also include small portions of Iowa, Missouri and Minnesota.

    USACE real estate team pivotal in rebranding Air Force Recruiting facility

    FORT WORTH, Texas - The Air Force Recruiting Service hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony in a first-of-its-kind, nationwide recruiting hub office Aug. 1 in Austin, Texas, as part of a national rebranding initiative. During the ceremony, more than 60 applicants were sworn into the delayed entry program outside of the new office, which expands the manning of traditional recruiting offices from commonly two recruiters to nine, regionalizing recruiting efforts.
