CONCORD, Mass. – Work on the Cape Cod Canal’s Sagamore Bridge Painting Project in Bourne, Mass., will be suspended over Christmas and New Years Day. All travel lanes on the Sagamore Bridge will be open from Wednesday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015.
Starting on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, intermittent travel lane restrictions on the Sagamore Bridge will be put in place on a daily basis as needed to complete the contract work. The timing of the lane restrictions will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All travel lanes will be open each night. Contract work that requires lane restrictions is expected to be complete at the end of February 2015.
Message boards and bridge work alert emails are used to help inform motorists of pending lane restrictions and bridge work.
