Corps of Engineers establishes Hurricane Sandy Public Affairs Support Team

BROOKLYN, New York – As part of the national response framework for Hurricane Sandy, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in support of FEMA and working closely with local, city, and state officials, has established a Public Affairs Support Team (PST) to provide recovery information to the media and the public following Hurricane Sandy. The PST is located at the Corps’ North Atlantic Division Headquarters on Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn.

The mission of the PST is to provide timely and accurate information regarding the role the Corps of Engineers is playing in the ongoing recovery efforts to the region. The main PST line is 718-765-7192.

Any media seeking to speak to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers North Atlantic Division about the Corps' actions in response to damage from Hurricane Sandy should contact Justin Ward at the main PST line or at 347-675-8601 or at justin.m.ward@usace.army.mil.
