RAYSTOWN LAKE, Pa. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District and The National Wild Turkey Federation, Terrace Mountain Chapter will be hosting the 23rd Annual Chris Bowser Wheelin’ Sportsmen Hunt, Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at the Seven Points Recreation Area. During this time, the Raystown Lake Disc Golf Course and Allegrippis Trail system will be closed. Those visiting the Seven Points Recreation Area on this day are asked to wear orange and be aware of their surroundings.
Hunting blinds and designated shooting locations are strategically placed within Seven Points to limit any exposure to buildings, facilities, and public use areas. This closure furthers that effort to help ensure the safety of all park visitors and hunters within the area.
Activities related to this Wheelin’ Sportsmen Hunt will also occur around the Raystown Dam and the Juniata College Field Station. There are no specific closures related to those areas, but the same safety awareness should be practiced in those locations.
