North Atlantic Division (NAD) employee Shamirra Shelton-Thornton cut a cake following a retirement ceremony honoring Lt. Col. Julie D'Annunzio at the Fort Hamilton Community Club's Washington Room in Brooklyn, New York. D'Annunzio's retirement ceremony provided an end point on a 23-year career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Former military colleagues, college friends and NAD employees filled the room.
