    The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the city of Chesapeake are hosting a citizen's information meeting on Thursday, August 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Deep Creek Community Center, 2901 Margaret Book Drive.

The Army Corps' New York District is now in the process of increasing resiliency at the Coastal Storm Risk Reduction Project along the shore of Long Beach with the commencement of Phase 2 -- an essential phase of the overall shore protection project.
