The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District and its contractor Freyssinet, Inc. continue to make repairs to the St. Georges Bridge. Work includes replacement of 45 floor beam covers and more than 7,000 bolts and rivets on the underside of the structure, and replacement of all deck joint strip seals. Work is expected to be completed around the end of January.

Motorists are advised to use the Senator William V. Roth, Jr. (SR-1) Bridge as a detour route. For up-to-date traffic information, please log onto Delaware Department of Transportation website at www.deldot.gov or tune to WTMC 1380 AM.
