Capt. Shirley Albritton was promoted from first lieutenant during a ceremony on May 30, 2019 in front of employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers North Atlantic Division at its headquarters at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York.

Albritton's parents Frankie and Angela replaced shoulder insignia with the single silver bars of a first lieutenant with shoulder boards with the twin silver bars worn by Army captains. 

The North Atlantic Division Commanding General Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Milhorn made opening remarks and administered the commissioning oath to Capt. Albritton. She currently serves as Maj. Gen. Milhorn's aide-de-camp.

Albritton is a 2015 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York and was commissioned in the Army Corps of Engineers. She is from Orlando, Florida.
