Members of the public make their way into Whitney Point Dam’s gatehouse during a rare opportunity to see the inside of the gatehouse as part of the celebration of Whitney Point Dam’s 75th anniversary Saturday October 21, 2017. The dam in Whitney Point, N.Y., is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District and provides flood risk management to downstream communities and its reservoir is a popular recreational spot managed by Broome County Department of Parks and Recreation.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Marine Design Center managed construction of the Survey Vessel CATLETT for the USACE Baltimore District. The vessel, delivered in July of 2017, uses the latest technology to primarily survey channels associated with the Port of Baltimore.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Philadelphia District will christen the Survey Vessel HR SPIES during a ceremony at Fort Mifflin on May 24, 2017. The hydrographic survey vessel will be used to survey the federal channel of the Delaware River and Bay and the C&D Canal.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Philadelphia District and its contractor are building two sections of a seawall and rebuilding portions of the Atlantic City boardwalk along the Absecon Inlet. Work is designed to reduce damages from coastal storms.
