Water Control Center

Welcome to the North Atlantic Division's Water Resources Team home page.  Our mission is to provide expert technical assistance and design quality management services to our districts in the areas of hydraulic design, hydrology, water quality, coastal engineering and reservoir management.

Water control activities in NAD cover a 14-state area extending from Maine to Virginia and including Washington, D.C.  We have responsibility for 57 reservoirs in the Connecticut, Housatonic, Thames, Charles, Merrimack, Susquehanna, Potomac, James and Delaware River Basins.  We have beach erosion control and coastal navigation projects on the Atlantic Coast from Virginia to the Canadian border.  And the New England District operates two hurricane barriers at New Bedford, Mass., and Stamford, Conn.
