Vincent E. Grewatz

Vincent E. Grewatz was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in July 2013 and served as the Regional Business Director for the North Atlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers until November 2016. Mr. Grewatz provided executive leadership and direction for the Division and its six subordinate districts to operate as a Regional Business Center. He was responsible for strategic direction, business transformation, strategic communication, technical engineering, and financial management for an organization that provides mission support to more than 50 Army and Air Force installations; federal, state, and local governments and agencies across 14 U.S. states, Europe and Africa.

Mr. Grewatz began his civil service career in 1998 with the U.S. Forces Korea Engineers as the Theater Master Planner. From 2002-2003 he worked on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon as a politico-military analyst in the Studies, Analysis and Gaming Division (J8). In 2003, Mr. Grewatz joined U.S. Army Garrison Fort Gordon as the Director of public works and logistics. In 2005 he returned to the Republic of Korea to become the Division Chief of the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Korea Region’s Public Works division. In 2008 Mr. Grewatz became the Deputy Commander of the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Polk, La. In 2011 he rejoined the U.S. Army Installation Management Command, taking a position as the Division Chief of the Atlantic Region’s Public Works division in Fort Eustis, Va.

Mr. Grewatz has a BS in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY, an MPA in International Economics and Finance from Harvard University, Cambridge, Ma., an MA in Defence Studies from King’s College London, United Kingdom, and an MS in National Defense Resources from the National Defense University, Washington, D.C. Mr. Grewatz also has an Engineer in Training Certification from Virginia.

During his career, Mr. Grewatz has received numerous awards including the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal, the Superior Civilian Service Award, the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the Army Meritorious Service Medal.

He is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
